The horse is the main means of faster and more efficient travel (barring fast travel) in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Henry may equip his horse with different saddles and spurs etc. The main three statistics of the horse are Speed, Capacity and Courage. The speed of your horse determines how fast it can walk, trot, canter and gallop. Capacity is the number of items your horse can carry (as a means of mobile storage). And finally, your horse's courage is how much sound and fury he can withstand before he bolts.
Two other things to briefly mention about the horse is its health and stamina. Of course, your horse's health works much like your own, although it can never die. when its health drops to zero it will stay like that until it regenerates. Your horse's stamina will deplete during a gallop. You will have to give your horse a breather every once and a while as it can not gallop forever, otherwise he will buck you off onto the ground.
Pebbles is granted to you for free during the quest The Hunt Begins, other horses must be acquired by purchasing them from Horse Traders or stolen. Stolen horses do not remain yours and cannot be called to you.
Most of the game's horses are named after horses from various mythologies and literature from around the world - with the exception of Warhorse Jenda, who is named after a developer's dog.
Despite some of the different horses being referred to as males or females, all horses appear to be stallions, as they all have visible penile sheathes. This may be a developer oversight, or it was simpler to recolour one stallion model than make individual models for mares.
